mailbox is updating its plans for private and business customers, as well as resellers
For many years, mailbox has stood for secure, reliable and independent communication from Germany. We continuously invest in our own infrastructure and in the ongoing development of the mailbox Suite for Mail, Drive, Meet and Office.
The demands placed on secure digital communication are constantly increasing. Despite a significant rise in costs, we have kept our prices stable for over five years. The adjustment now implemented affects the Standard and Premium plans and is accompanied by a doubling of storage space for Mail and Drive.
With this adjustment, we are continuing to invest in the secure operation of our infrastructure in Germany and the ongoing development of mailbox. This ensures that we can continue to offer you a secure, reliable and high-performance solution for your day-to-day communication and digital sovereignty.
What will change for mailbox private customers?
On 15 July 2026, we will be adjusting the prices for the Standard and Premium plans for private customers and doubling the storage space for Mail and Drive. The increased storage space will apply to everyone from 15 July 2026; the new prices will apply to new customers from 15 July 2026, and to existing customers from 31 August 2026:

Existing private customers: Secure your current price until 31 August 2026!
As a thank you for your loyalty, private customers can benefit from a transition period until 31 August 2026: Until then, you can secure your current terms and conditions for the coming years by extending your contract term. The longer the term you add, the longer you can use mailbox at your usual price. After that, the new prices will apply.
How to secure your current price
Log in to mailbox and click the gear icon to open All settings > Contract and payment > Payment. There, you can extend your contract term by making a payment by 31 August 2026 at the latest, thereby securing your current terms and conditions for the coming years.
The Light plan for private customers remains unchanged. There will be no price increase and no changes for customers on this plan. However, existing customers on the Light plan also have the option to take advantage of an exclusive switch offer. Until 31 August 2026 private Light plan customers can switch to a higher plan with a wider range of services on the same terms as before, securing this for the coming years.

What is changing for mailbox business customers and resellers?
The Standard and Premium plans are also being updated for business customers. At the same time, we are doubling the storage space for Mail and Drive. These changes will take effect from 1 September 2026. The Light plan and the service packages will remain unchanged in terms of scope and price.
