Our migration partner Audriga takes care of the complete transfer of your mailboxes – fully automatically and securely. All common providers are supported: Gmail, GMX, Web.de, T-Online, Outlook.com, 1&1, Strato, Freenet, Posteo, Host Europe and many more.
Manually via email client
You retain full control: set up mailbox as a second account in your email client and copy folders and messages using drag-and-drop. Contacts and appointments can be imported directly into mailbox as a vCard or iCal file.
Integrate external accounts
You can't part with your old provider just yet? Integrate your previous mailbox directly into the mailbox Suite and access both accounts in parallel.
Email migration for business customers
Email migration to mailbox Suite is clearly structured and secure: create mailboxes, redirect your own domains and then migrate all mailboxes completely. This means that the switch can be made without interrupting operations.
All your accounts are conveniently managed via the Admin Console: Domains, price plans, mailboxes incl. API connection for existing IT infrastructures. Whether you have fifty employees or five thousand: mailbox grows with you. All data is stored securely in German data centres.

What kind of data can be transferred?
Whether you choose the automatic or manual method, your emails, and folders will be transferred in full. Contacts and calendars can be transferred manually. We recommend starting with a test address book or test calendar before importing.
Can I keep my existing e-mail address?
If you have your own domain, you can bring it directly to mailbox. For @gmail.com or @gmx.de addresses, you can set up automatic forwarding.
Which providers can be migrated automatically?
Our partner Audriga allows the migration of IMAP and POP3 mailboxes from almost all common email providers.
You can select other providers (including your own IMAP or Microsoft Exchange providers) during the migration process. Officially supported (as of May 2022): 1&1 Ionos Mail, Apple iCloud, DomainFACTORY, Freenet, GMX, Google, Host Europe, Outlook.com, Posteo, Strato, T-Online, Vodafone and Web.de.

How long does the move take?
Small mailboxes are transferred in minutes. For large amounts of data, the process can take several hours depending on the connection and mailbox size. Our migration partner Audriga runs in the background. You can continue working in comfort.
Is the removal service free of charge?
Yes, Audriga's migration service is completely free of charge for private customers with a Standard or Premium price plan.
