Which account is right for me?
If you only use email for yourself or want to manage your family's email, the private account is ideal for you. It offers everything you need for secure, ad-free communication.
If you use mailbox for business purposes – e.g., as a company, in public institutions, but also in small businesses and as a self-employed person – we recommend the business account. This allows you to efficiently manage a larger number of email accounts and also offers:
- Priority support for quick help
- Central user management and rights assignment
- Scalability for users and functions
- Professional invoicing
Is there a mobile app?
You can integrate your mailbox into your existing or pre-installed email app. In the mailbox settings, we provide you with a profile file for automatic setup and the access data for manual configuration.
In addition, you can also use your mailbox in the webmailer and save it on your home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
If you want to use Office and Drive on your smartphone, we recommend the free OX Drive app.
Can I take my existing emails with me?
Yes, you can transfer even a large mailbox with many years of emails to mailbox yourself.
Private
You can either transfer your data yourself or have our German partner audriga do it for you free of charge.
Business
You can either transfer your data yourself or have our German partner audriga do it for you. Please contact our support team for further details.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, you can set up your own domain with the PREMIUM and STANDARD plans. In addition to any aliases you choose, you can also set up a catch-all address.

What payment options are available?
Private
Billing is on a prepaid basis. You can top up your credit using the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Direct debit (SEPA)
- Credit card
- PayPal
- Cash by mail (euros only, no checks)
- Cash deposit to our bank account
Note: Please only pay for the amount you actually want to use. Credit balances cannot be refunded.
Business
For businesses, billing is monthly in advance. Payment can be made via the following methods:
