Announcement: Markus Feilner joins Heinlein Support and mailbox.org as Technical Editor

We are very happy to announce Markus Feilner will be joining us in March 2021 as “Editor Technology and Internet Politics” at mailbox.org. With more than 25 years of experience in journalism, administration, consulting and training in the open source world, he loves reporting about IT trends, tech topics and politics. Markus thrives when he’s researching complex topics, and he is an expert in explaining and presenting them in understandable fashion. Like us, he is engaged in providing and keeping a free, safe and sovereign internet, where everybody is in control of their data, always. In his former life, Markus has helped Linux distributor SUSE as Team Lead organizing documentation, he is the author of several books and has worked many years as Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Linux-Magazine Germany and Heise iX.

The paths of Heinlein Support and Markus have crossed many-a-times over the last decades. We wrote articles for tech publications, some of them were edited by Markus, we met on, behind, or in front of open source stages, at industry fairs and conferences. Thus it is a great, great pleasure for us that Heinlein Support could fulfill our long-term dream of having a technical editor, and that Markus wants to take on this mission.

Our blog will benefit from technical topics for administrators, on mailbox.org Markus will throw the spotlight on topics of internet politics, IT security and data protection for everybody. Apart from that, he will revise, edit and extend our knowledge database – there’ll be a lot of new ideas and improvements coming up.
